Seating:

For fans looking for premium views, the Field Level and Main Level (Sections 100s and 200s) along the baselines and behind home plate provide excellent sight lines and access to upgraded amenities. The Yankees’ dugout is on the first base side, which is helpful to know if you're hoping to sit near the home team. For day games, the first base side tends to receive shade earlier than the third base side, which can be an advantage during the warmer months.

Parking & Public Transit:

River Avenue Garage is a convenient parking option for fans attending Yankees games. Located just steps from the stadium, this large garage offers easy access before and after the game. Be sure to note your level and section when you park, as the garage can fill up quickly and levels may look similar. Multiple entrances are available, and signage around the area will direct you to the correct garage entrance.

The stadium is well-connected by subway, train, and bus options. The B, D, and 4 subway lines all stop at 161st Street–Yankee Stadium, just one block from the main entrance. On game days, trains run frequently and are often filled with fellow fans heading to the ballpark.

If you're coming from outside the city, the Metro-North Railroad offers service directly to Yankees–E 153rd Street Station, located just a short walk from the stadium. This is a popular choice for fans traveling from Westchester, Connecticut, or other points north of Manhattan.

Several MTA bus lines also serve the area around the stadium, though travel time can vary depending on traffic.

Traditions:

  • Roll Call: One of the most iconic Yankee Stadium traditions happens in the first inning, when the Bleacher Creatures in Section 203 chant each starting fielder’s name until the player acknowledges them with a wave or tip of the cap. It’s loud, spirited, and uniquely Bronx.

  • "God Bless America": During the 7th inning stretch, fans join in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," followed by a live or recorded performance of "God Bless America." This tradition began in the wake of 9/11 and continues as a moment of reflection and unity.

  • Mascots: The Yankees are one of the few teams in Major League Baseball without a mascot—because in the Bronx, the pinstripes speak for themselves.

    • Kids Clubhouse: Yankee Stadium features the Kids Clubhouse, located on the 300 Level in right field. This indoor, air-conditioned space is designed just for young fans and includes Yankees-themed playground equipment, interactive games, and a shaded area for families to take a break from the sun or crowds.

    • Yankees Kids Club: While not a physical space, the Yankees offer a Kids Club membership that includes exclusive gear, access to special events, and unique experiences designed to make game day extra special for younger fans.

  • Strollers are permitted at Yankee Stadium. Fold-up strollers should be stored under your seat, provided they can be safely accommodated without obstructing aisleways for other guests. If you have a large folding or non-folding stroller, it should be stored at the Guest Relations and Ticket Sales Booth, located adjacent to Gate 6 in the Great Hall.

  • Yankee Stadium offers a dedicated Sensory Room designed to accommodate guests with sensory processing needs. Located on the Terrace Level at Section 320C, this space provides a calming environment for individuals who may experience sensory overload during events. The room features amenities such as activity panels, bean bag chairs, bubble walls, and fidget toys to assist guests in self-regulation.

    To access the Sensory Room, guests can visit the Guest Relations Booth located at Section 320C. Additionally, sensory kits, which include items like fidget toys, noise-canceling headsets, and sunglasses, are available at no charge from Guest Relations Booths throughout the stadium. A valid photo ID or credit card is required as a deposit for these kits.

  • Permitted Bags: Each guest may bring one soft-sided bag no larger than 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches. Additionally, one smaller soft-sided personal item, such as a handbag, clutch, tote, or plastic grocery bag, is allowed.
